The kit includes a complimentary access to the copyrighted PDF instructions. The downloadable PDF manual is 20 page long with over 40 pictures and tables making this project easy even if it is your first kumihimo project. It includes instructions on how to set up your cords on the K-Disk, how to load the beads, how to braid, how to braid with beads, how to remove your project from the K-Disk, and how to prepare the ends for the clasp and how to finish the project. It has a what if? section, plus measurements for the bracelet and how to care for the pieces. The PDF is available by itself HERE.
The ribbons are pre-cut and laid out to create an ombré color transition, and ready to be inserted in the slots in the kumihimo disk for your convenience. Laying the ribbon with color shifts side by side so the color in the braid shifts along the way at the same time creates a more interesting effect than random color shifts.
The beads are organized and each bag is marked. There is enough beads to make about 30 to 36 bead clusters. Access to the PDF is included in the kit. Tool Bags specifically designed for this project are available. They include: a Mini K-Disk, 8 EZ-Bobs, a Weighted EZ-Bob and a mini clamp. > More on Blog > Panaché Ribbon
In addition to the materials and the Tool Bag, you will need heavy duty scissors, shears or snips, plus an adhesive to attach the clasp such as Poly Zap Super Glue, Zap Jewelry Gel or Devcon 5-Minute Epoxy.
